The Small travelling choreographic plays sprang from the desire of inviting the audience to another way of appreciating dance, in different places. The stage, the décor, the sound diffusion and the lighting are specially designed to fit venues that are not granted to shows.

Outside the theatre and cut off from the usual performance points of reference, the bodies’ poetry appears differently, prejudice vanishes and gives way to a new dialogue between the artists and the audience. The dancers are so near - one can hear them breathe - dance is surprising in surroundings that are not made for it, but which it can suddenly fill and transform.

«It is exciting to make dance spring where people don’t expect it to be. The joy of dancing and sharing dance is the material for this creation, LIN Yuan Shang says. It is about rediscovering the pleasure of communicating, as directly and simply as possible. Which involves generosity, play, lightness - all those things that we tend to forget…»
