Artistic platform Europe- Asia

Born in Asia and living in Europe for several years now, trained in the strict tradition of Chinese Opera and now working as a contemporary dance artist, Lin Yuan Shang has been experimenting both in his personal and professional life this shocking ”here and there” deep feeling – disturbing but so free - and the identity quest it reveals.

He is interested in discovering how individuals, and especially younger generations educated in a “mixed” world, deal with this simple but fundamental question and find their own answers to it.

In 2007, the company has begun to develop what should have been the first steps of a new project - an Europe/Asia collaboration platform - by co-choreographing a dance piece with the Austrian Michael Klien (Daghdha dance co, Ireland) and touring it in China (Da Dao Arts festival oct/nov 2007 – 18 artists from Europe and China in 10 Chinese towns) and France (Dunkerque). The experience allow us to take part as awared citizens to the vast, passionate and latest craze: diversity.
